HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION

Standard Homestay

Standard homestay includes:

• A single room where your host will provide a comfortable bed with appropriate linen, blanket, and towels
• Your room will be furnished with a desk, chair, desk lamp, and wardrobe
• Daily breakfast and dinner plus light lunches on the weekend are inclusive
• Access to a shared bathroom (you must bring your own toiletries)
• Access to laundry facilities once a week (detergent will be supplied by the host)
• Easy access to transport to your place of study (maximum traveling time is 60 minutes door to door)
• If you have a friend who would like to share the room with you, we can arrange for a twin share option (however, 2 people must book at the same time)
  We can also cater for any specific dietary requirements for your homestay (i.e. gluten-free, vegan, Halal, Kosher, etc.), an extra charge will apply.  

Self-Catered Homestay (only for over 18 students)

Self-Catered homestay includes:

• A single room where your host will provide a comfortable bed with appropriate linen, blanket, and towels
• Your room will be furnished with a desk, chair, desk lamp, and wardrobe
• No meals will be provided. However, you will have access to the kitchen facilities (you must purchase your own ingredients i.e. cooking oil, meat, etc.)
• Access to a shared bathroom (you must bring your own toiletries)
• Access to laundry facilities once a week (detergent will be supplied by the host)
• Easy access to transport to your place of study (maximum traveling time is 60 minutes door to door)

VIP Homestay

Did you know that Global experience takes pride that during 2005-2006, we successfully provided VIP Homestay for a member of a Thai Royal family while studying English in Sydney?

With that success in mind, our Founder came up with a VIP Homestay program that can be tailored to suit your needs.

VIP homestay includes:

• Private bathroom
• Internet access
• We can also cater for any specific dietary requirements for your homestay (i.e. gluten-free, vegan, Halal, Kosher, etc.), however, an extra charge will apply.

AIRPORT PICK-UP SERVICES

The company used by Global experience has been in operation since 1999 and has the following accreditation procedures to ensure all drivers and vehicles are compliant with the highest standards:

• Driver training courses
• WWCC and Criminal Record checks done on all drivers
• MOT and RTA accreditation
• A regular check of all vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards
• Fully insurance carried

PARENT NOMINATED HOMESTAY SERVICE

How to apply?

1. We accept Parent Nominated Homestay request only if you submitted the request through the institution where the student is going to study
2. Parent(s) of the student must complete a Parent Nominated form. Allow up to 4 weeks for the process to be completed.
3. The nominated family must complete the standard homestay application form at our website: www.globalexperience.com.au.
4. We charge an annual parent nominated fee (refer to the price list) and once the payment is received, our host coordinator is going to visit the nominated host and conduct the standard homestay interview process (including house inspection, WWCC clearance, public liability insurance, etc.) to ensure the nominated host has met the minimum homestay arrangements.
5. Once the nominated host is approved, Global experience will send the report to the institution and cc the agent.
6. Please note that the nominated fee is non-refundable once the screening process begins or in the case when the nominated homestay is rejected.

CAREGIVING SERVICE

We offer two different types of caregiving service:

1. If approved by the institution, the student can request for their homestay family to become their carer
2. Alternatively, students can request Ge external carer to look after their wellbeing until they turn 18 years of age.
