Sonia Ortega, Managing Director
Sonia was born in Argentina and came to Australia in 1979 with her young family. Having arrived in Australia and knowing no one here, she understands what it is like to be in a new country surrounded by a new language and culture. Sonia began Global Experience in 1999 with a passion to create a 'friendly' business environment that delivers a great service.
She loves travelling, jewellery, cooking and life in general; and is fluent in Spanish and English.
Lynn Copithorne, General Manager
Lynn was born in Canada and came to Australia in 1985. She joined us in 2008 as a consultant and now works full time in managing Global Experience. She has broad experiences and expertise in the business industry and really enjoys her new challenges in this industry.
Lynn has a witty personality and has brought more laughter to our office since the day she joined us. She completed a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Currently she is also learning massage and dance.
Monica Hung, Administration Manager
Monica was born in Chile and came to Australia in 1992 as a migrant. She joined Global Experience in 2004 and is responsible for accounts matter. She has background in finance and accounting, and also did some studies in computer and interior design.
Monica describes herself as a quiet achiever. She is very passionate about self development and expansion especially in the area of creating abundance in our life. She enjoys outdoor activities and nature in general.
She is fluent in Spanish and English
Agnes Ong, Marketing Executive
Agnes was born in Indonesia and came to Australia in 1996. She completed Master of Tourism, Hospitality Management and Marketing in UNSW. She joined us in 2007 and has since become responsible for all marketing areas and new hosts recruitment. To her, working for Global Experience has helped her to understand more about people and their customs and she really enjoys her current role.
Agnes is passionate about make-up, fashion, travelling, ethnic music and culture; and is fluent in Indonesian and English.
Etsuko Yamada, Liaison Officer
Etsuko was born in Japan and came to Australia in 2005. She completed Master in Applied Japanese Linguistics in UNSW. She joined us in 2006 and is responsible for placing all the students with the right Host Family. Her quiet manner and lively sense of humour blend in well with a natural eye for detail and precision.
Etsuko is passionate about cultures, languages and photography; and is fluent in Japanese and English.
Nadia Donaldson, Caregiver Coordinator
Nadia was born in Chile and came to Australia in the early 1980s. She joined Global Experience in 2004. Within the team and her circle of friends, Nadia is well known for having such a good heart and soul. She is very caring, friendly and outgoing and these personalities have made her the perfect person to fill the Caregiver role in our company.
Nadia grows herself through self development and spirituality and enjoys listening to opera and classical music. Nadia is also fluent in Spanish and English.
Stone Du, Accounts
Stone was born in China and came to Australia in 2005. He joined Global Experience in 2009 and is responsible for all the accounts area. He has a Master of Business and Accounting and is very keen to be part of Global Experience as this is his first full-time job in Australia.
Stone enjoys computer, chatting, basketball and movies; and is fluent in Mandarin and English.
